Happy Birthday Blessed Loved Ones

I know that in most religions Christmas is the official birthday of the Savior, but for the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints it is today, April 6. Thank you dear Savior for being willing to come to earth and live as a mortal being in order to lead us back home. May we always remember the blessings we enjoy  and show our gratitude by our actions.
Another birthday wish goes out to my mom, and my children's other grandma Evelyn. Though both have gone home to live in God's presence they are loved and remembered for their sweet, kind and gentle natures. We love you Moms!

Monday Muse.....

I don't post here often lately as things have been a bit crazy.... Okay when are they not anymore? I saw this hymn yesterday and thought that the words apply so well to today.

KNOW THIS, THAT EVERY SOUL IS FREE
Know this, that ev'ry soul is free
To choose his life and what he'll be;
For this eternal truth is giv'n:
That God will force no man to heav'n.

He'll call, persuade, direct aright,
And bless with widom, love, and light,
In nameless ways be good and kind,
But never force the human mind.

Freedom and reason make us men;
Take these away, what are we then?
Mere animals, and just as well
The beasts may think of heav'n or hell.

May we no more our pow'rs abuse,
But ways of truth and goodness choose;
Our God is pleased when we improve
His grace and seek his perfect love.

Seek Ye First......

A favorite verse of mine that I created a counted cross stitch design for to hang up in the living room. A reminder for me to always search the scriptures and pray before I start my day. I can attest to the fact that it works every time I put it to the test. Do you have a favorite verse that motivates you?
